An all encompassing, custom thermoform clamshell packaging, that is developed with a living hinge. This allows your product to be displayed in a blister type function in the front, but supplies a clear back allowing your product 100% viewing. Optional is the ability to place cards or informational media with your product. Algus provides custom designs to enclose your product and card with multiple types of closures from basic ring snap to sealing machine feedable clamshells, which can be sealed with different methods best fitting your needs. |

Thermoforming Bi-Fold clam Packaging
These custom thermoforming clamshells are designed so your retail clients have a way to merchandise your product by hanging it on a peg wall, standing it on a shelf, or sitting it in a display. The three part design typically includes a triangular base that allows the clamshell to stand upright on a shelf. All Bi-Fold clamshells are made from the same crystal clear PVC material as standard plastic clamshells. Normal concept to delivery for custom thermoforming:
- Concept drawings = 5 business days
- Prototype samples = 5 business days
3 business days (if required)
- Thermoforming tooling = 20 business days or less
- Thermoforming orders = 3-4 week turnaround (depending on plastic deliveries)

Thermoforming is a method of manufacturing plastic parts by preheating a flat sheet of plastic, and then bringing it into contact with a mold whose shape it takes. This can be done by vacuum, pressure and or direct mechanical force. The process offers close tolerances, tight specifications, and sharp detail.
